Frequently Asked Questions
1. What do you need from your clients to create a 3D model or rendering?
CAD files are preferred, however, we can work from sketches, PDF files, JPEG scans and photographs provided dimensions are included. CAD files need to be in the DWG file format.
2. How long does it take to produce a rendering?
Small projects may take as little as 1 day and others may take 2 weeks or more. Project size, complexity and the inevitable on-the-fly changes all influence production time. Another consideration is image size and how many CGI’s are required.
3. Who do you work with?
The majority of our clients are architects, developers and designers. For past 10 years we have made it our business to work quietly behind their scenes. We enjoy the trust of all of our clients and don’t mind being their own in-house 3D department.
4. Can you work from a client's existing 3D model to create a rendering?
Yes, we have completed projects from 3D models provided by our clients. We can work from a variety of 3D file formats. If you have a specific file format let us know, we should be able to work with it or convert it.
5. How much do you charge for a completed 3D model and rendering?
Each project is unique and quotes are based on the specifics of each project. After reviewing your project we determine how many hours are required to model, light and texture. Based on this information and how many images or animations are required we will e-mail you a quote within 24hrs.
6. Can you give a typical price guide?
A 3D rendering can cost from as little as £100, again this all depends on detail and time spent on modeling, lighting and texturing.
7. How do you deliver completed projects to your clients?
Most images are delivered via email. On occasion larger files are sent by www.yousendit.com Very large files can be burned to CD-ROM or DVD.
